Who's who?

Maurice Kinnaird (Pastor)MK
Maurice joined the church in 2002 as the senior pastor. Previously he and his family lived in the Wirral where pastored a church in Hoylake. Although an avid Everton fan Maurice's real passion is to see the gospel work go forward and Jesus Christ be glorified. Involved in a number of church activities and the main teaching on a Sunday Maurice also supports classes and one to ones on various issues including church membership, marriage and baptism.

John Richards (Pastor)
John Richards
John joined Ebenezer in September 2007 as co-pastor. Prior to this John worked for UCCF for 4 years with Christian Unions in North Wales - rather a change from his previous career as an accountant. John is jointly responsible for various pastoral duties, but in particular looks after the small groups in the church - including home Bible study groups, Christianity Explored and baptism classes. John and his wife Katherine recently welcomed their third child into the family.


Jonathan Wells (Elder)Jonathan Wells
Jonathan and his wife Helen have been members of Ebenezer since moving to the area in 1985. He works in vaccine manufacturing, and enjoys making music and playing golf. Jonathan became an elder in 2009.

Antony Bennett (Elder)
Antony started coming to Ebenezer over 20 ago and is married to Alison and have three teenage children. They live in a small village outside of Mold where one of the church home groups meets in their home every other Tuesday. Antony works on the church missions team overseeing the church's involvement in the several missions and individuals supported by the fellowship. During the week Antony works as a fine art valuer and auctioneer in Wales and North West England. He became an elder in 2009.


Jeff Williams (Elder)Jeff Williams
Jeff worked with UFM worldwide from 1963 to 1978, preparing in France then serving in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. After five years in the Pastorate at a Church in Gwersyllt he accepted a call and worked on the home staff of UFM until 1996 before returning to serve in the Pastorate at Gwersyllt until retirement in 2004. Jeff still serves on the UFM council. He's married with three adult children: Philip, Mark and Yvette. Jeff became an elder in 2009

 
 

 

 

Holly Barons (Pastors’ Administrator)Holly

Holly started coming to Ebenezer in 2007, and has been a part of the worship team in that time. In October 2011 she was appointed as the Pastor’s administrator. Her role includes organising the church diary, co-ordinating building bookings, and other day-to day administration tasks for the church.
 
 

James Mitton (deacon) James Mitton
Responsible for Ministries.

  • ensuring ministers can function well
  • support to filling vacancies
  • assistance in working with the deacons where key equipment or funding is required

Chris Shaw (deacon) Chris Shaw
Responsible for Social Responsibility

  • Helping the poor and needy in our church and local community
  • Support to the Mercy Ministry Team
  • Support to the Pastoral Care Team

  • Welcome to our church
  • Smooth running of Sunday services
  • Welcome and Stewarding teams

Kelvin Redmile (deacon) Kelvin Redmile
Responsible for Finance

  • Developing financial budgets to meet church priorities
  • Communication of finances to Managing Trustees and members
  • Book keeping/accounting in line with legal requirements
  • Processing of church expenditure in line with agreed processes

Dr Jon Edwards (deacon)Jon Edwards

The Secretary

  • Producing and circulating agendas for key meetings
  • Record keeping (e.g. Membership list, baptisms, contracts etc)

Allan Peters (deacon)
Responsible for the Facilities

  • Repairs and maintenance to the church properties and vehicles
  • Manage repairs and purchases within agreed budget
  • Maintenance of church equipment including copyright licenses & Health and Safety requirements
  • Responsible for 'Events Team'

Chris Buckingham (deacon)
Chris BuckinghamResponsible for Audio & Visual

  • Responsible for the technical set up and maintenance of audio (mics, speakers etc) and visual (projector, laptops, website)
  • Ensuring that rotas in place and working to support church services and other key events
  • Replacement or introduction of necessary audio or visual equipment
